- Ideal for use on very fine or slippery fabrics, where it helps to support the embroidery, or freehand lace embroidery, where you wash away the stabiliser and just leave the stitches.
- This is the one used by Jennifer Knake in her wonderful books, Crazy Felt and Crazy Wool - see our 'recommended reading' page for links to these books on Amazon. Her basic technique is to sandwich lengths of wool between two pieces of Solu-fleece, machine them together cross-wise and then wash away the Solu-fleece. Great for using up all your leftover balls of wool, and much quicker than knitting!
- Easier to handle than the plastic film kind of soluble stabiliser, Solu-fleece/Soluvlies looks and feels like a light interfacing. It washes away completely in cold water (or warm if you are in a hurry), leaving no residue.
- Price is per metre (x 90cm wide)
