Both of the teddy bears shown in the picture are made from the same pattern - the only difference is in the size of the crochet hook and yarn. The larger one is made in Double Knitting yarn; the smaller one in 4-ply. The larger bear stands approx. 8ins. tall, and the smaller one is approx. 6ins. You don't have to stop there - make mini bears in 2-ply yarn, or use a fancy or textured yarn for a different effect... In fact you can use almost any kind or thickness of yarn, adjusting the size of the crochet hook to match.

The pattern includes instructions for thread-jointing the limbs, so your bear can sit, stand, and move its arms.
