Crochet pattern to make an adult size hat

For those who like something a bit different, this gorgeous fun hat will keep you warm whilst still looking cool!   It is a comfortable, roomy style, and is quite easy to make. The spiral trim could be attached to the middle of the crown like a tassel if you prefer, or of course you could make the spirals detatchable so you have the option of a plain hat when you feel like it!

The hat is crocheted in double knitting wool, with the optional addition of a few rows of fancy 'eyelash' yarn.
